Phil Tilt is our Compliance and Training Manager. Main duties include: employment law training for both managers (through Encore’s Management Training Academy) and a thorough induction process for all new internal employees. Phil heads up Encore’s compliance and auditing function through regular scheduled audits, ensuring all Encore’s branches and sites are adhering to the highest standards of legal compliance.
As well as liaising with the REC, GLA and BIS, Phil is currently working with Encore’s clients, offering support and advice on their slavery and human trafficking statements ensuring full compliance is met.
Nikki Gallier has worked in the compliance team since January 2015 and has over 10 years recruitment experience. Her role at Encore has varied over the years from Account Management to Branch Management, offering Encore a wealth of experience and understanding of the recruitment industry. Nikki is now the main liaison at operations level with the REC, ALP and GLA.
Main duties include: training and inducting all new internal staff on our three day in-house course, project managing company strategies, implementing new onsite contracts and carrying out both legal and procedural audits across the business, including retraining failed areas.
Hayley Knight is Encore’s Company Administrator, overseeing and ensuring best practice, compliance and adherence to all company and legal processes and procedures across Encore’s entire network. Hayley is the main contact and trainer for all Right to Work documents and checks. Alongside the other compliance team members, she carries out the admin-specific compliance audits for the business. This includes RTI information, legal and internal procedures.
Hayley and her team of Senior Administrators run Encore’s Admin Training Academy; where all new administrators learn legal and internal processes through Encore’s compliant modular learning guide. Through this process, all staff members are trained, tested and signed off in all areas of legal and internal compliance. Hayley works closely with the Company Business Manager to ensure all documents, contracts and legislation is followed and up to date. Additionally, Hayley supports on all TUPE transfers and all administration of statutory procedures and processes.
Neil Cook has designed and delivers his own customer service excellence training course internally to staff, as well as auditing divisions in all of the branches to ensure they are compliant with operational procedures.
Neil is heavily involved in various project work at company level, and creates strategies for the effective “roll out” and training across the business.

Encore regularly check their compliance by completing the following:
- Monthly Branch audits conducted by trained staff
- A full Legal and Compliance Audit every six months, conducted by a member of the compliance team
- REC Audit – external audit conducted every two years; this is the gold standard in compliance and Encore are one of only 50 recruitment agencies to hold this standard.
