Tina Hercock

Finance Director

Tina left school at the age of 16 in 1976 and commenced an eight year stint of day release to qualify as an ACCA accountant in 1984. After 23 years in haulage (before the more glamourous title of logistics), and a few years dabbling in self-employment, she answered a newspaper advert for an accounting role in a £10m turnover recruitment business in Leicester.

Joining Encore in 2004 was a revelation; from the doom and gloom of logistics to the upbeat energetic environment of recruitment. Tina had no direct staff and produced all the accounts and undertook credit control personally. She is now directly responsible for a team of 15 people, debtors of £10-15m , weekly payroll of £1.2m and treasury controlling £9m of working capital funding.

Tina has overseen accounting for growth from four to ten branch locations and 22 EMS contracts, resulting in the current monthly production of 60 P&L’s. Tina was appointed Finance Director to the Board in November 2016 and now also holds the role of Company Secretary.

Cindy Gunn

HR Director

Cindy left the music industry to commence work in recruitment in 2000; working as a Senior Administrator for Staffline before joining Encore in only its second week of active trading in January 2002.

Cindy first helped man reception and cover general admin duties whilst setting up a payroll system and processes. This developed over time into a management role; overseeing the payroll and admin teams, before diversifying into the world of HR. More recently, as HR Manager, Cindy set up a HR team and Internal Recruitment function whilst qualifying at CIPD level 7 in her ‘spare’ time!

Whilst she has been involved at Board level for some time, initially taking minutes and eventually developing into a contributory role, Cindy received her promotion to HR Director in February 2019.
