Hours of Work

Day Shift - 07:00 - 17:00
Night Shift - 17:00 - 05:00
Any 5 out of 7 - Days or Nights Shifts Patterns 
 
Rates of Pay ** Pay Rate depending on Shift Pattern & FLT Assessment

Level 1 - Days
Basic Pay: £ 11.40 p/hr | Overtime: £ 14.25 p/hr
Level 1 - Nights
Basic Pay: £ 12.90 p/hr | Overtime: £ 16.13 p/hr

Level 2 - Days
Basic Pay: £ 11.99 p/hr | Overtime: £ 14.99 p/hr
Level 2 - Nights
Basic Pay: £ 13.49 p/hr | Overtime: £ 16.86 p/hr

Level 3 - Days
Basic Pay: £ 12.39 p/hr | Overtime: £ 15.49 p/hr
Level 3 - Nights
Basic Pay: £ 13.89 p/hr | Overtime: £ 17.36 p/hr

Your time at work

• Daily maintenance of the forklifts and batteries. Any damage or required maintenance is reported immediately to the Transport Manager
  • Ensure start up sheets are completed for each forklifts at the start of each shift
  • Ensure each forklift is operated in an appropriate manner at all times, reducing the risk of damage and accident
  • Following rules and regulations in respect of the operation of forklift trucks at all times (eg when to sound the horn, procedures when forks in use etc)
  • Ensure that all areas of the cold store are clean, free of debris and that waste bins are always emptied
  • Ensure that all relevant records are kept for the movement of product, crates/trays, pallets and any other product moved through the Packhouse
  • Ensure that the pallets, trays and crates are stacked safely
  • Provide effective communication with all relevant members of the site team
  • Ensure that all weights are provided correctly and on time to all persons as required
  • Ensure that all finished product leaving site  is out loaded correctly for each depot and customer (including pallet heights, weights)
  • Ensure that all site rules including Health & Safety are adhered to by all Forklift drivers and visiting Dales or other lorry drivers
