Quality Engineer wanted in Nottingham!
Salary: £25,000 per annum competitive
 
Our reputable and established client is looking for a driven and attentive quality engineer to join their esteemed workforce family as a quality engineer with impeccable attention to detail and experience within a comparable role.
Being a role with great benefits under a fantastic and recognised company in the electronics industry they are seeking a committed individual to join with progression and commitment in mind.
The main purpose of the role being to Ensure high standards of quality are maintained along with the following specific duties:

  • Utilise product and record findings whilst undertaking inspection data and other information to enhance process performance
  • Using own initiative towards improvements whilst performing internal audits
  • Respond and act on issues raised during audits
  • Ensure test and measuring equipment is calibrated
  • Assist with following up DMR's (Defective Material Reports)
  • Make sure 8D reports are raised and actioned in response to relevant known and unknown issues
  • Assist with Producing, editing, and distributing management system documents
    What qualifications and skills will you need?
  • previous experience in a comparable role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Relevant auditor training
  • Good understanding of the latest versions of ISO9001 and 14001
  • Confident and Capable in using Microsoft Office
  • A Positive and proactive approach to all duties.
  • Assist in operating an effective and efficient management system throughout all areas of the business and across all products ranges. Monitored through key management system statistics, e.g. rework, audit results, RMAs (Return Material Authorisations), energy consumption etc.
  • Identify, both personally and with the assistance of colleagues, ways in which relevant business processes can be improved.
  • Respond to reports of quality issues, using appropriate techniques to identify and remove the root cause. Such issues may be identified internally, with contractors, suppliers etc.
 
Desirable:
  • Experience of electronics in previous roles
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of conducting FMEA's
