Rotating Shifts to Nights 

A new opportunity for a CNC Setter Operator (Turner) to join a very successful aerospace company based in Thurmaston. This roles working hours are rotating shifts and are as follows.
Week 1: Monday to Thursday:  5:30 am. to 14:00 pm. Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 13:30 pm
Week 2: Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm to 10:30pm 
Once fully trained the company would be looking to move you on to their night shift. 

The Employer
This company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts and fasteners predominately for the aerospace industry. Having recently introduced new machinery on to the shop floor they are looking for a CNC Setter Operator to join their expanding team that is keen to learn and get stuck in. 

The Job 
Working on lathe machinery, single axis machines.
Setting will include selecting correct programmes - editing these if and when required 
Using Fanuc controls
Good understanding of cutting tools.
Knowledge of CAD CAM, AutoCad and Solidworks, desirable
Good understanding of machining speeds & feeds for Aerospace materials.
Running up to 4 machines at once
Using quality measuring gauges - verniers, micrometers, shadow graphs etc
Reading and working from engineering drawings. 

The Ideal Candidate 
The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained or with at least 5 years' experience on a machine shop environment. Working as a CNC Setter Operator you must be able to set and operate lathe machines. You need knowledge of metric and imperial measurements as well as be fully confident using verniers and micrometers. 

Salary Range & Benefits
