JOB PURPOSE:
To produce and/or pack turkey portions to meet our customer expectations and agreed specifications as detailed on our displayed product specification sheet
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES         
  • To ensure the product is packed to the required standard as detailed in the photographic standards on each line
  • To differentiate between what is acceptable and what is unacceptable in terms of quality, cutting standards and work rate as detailed on the job specification or from verbal instruction from production Manager
  • To ensure that the product is free from bruising and blood spots
  • To service a production line with product in accordance with the line running speed meeting the agreed production targets
  • To place reject product into designated trays
  • To operate scales and other machinery as required and in accordance with Safe Operating Procedures and training
  • To ensure you meet the required packing rate as instructed by Section Manager
  • To adhere to allergen controls
  • To wear correct PPE for the area you are working in
  • To be aware of, understand and adhere to health & safety procedures
  • To be aware of, understand and adhere to food hygiene procedures
  • To adhere to company policies and procedures
  • To follow instructions as directed by Section Manager or Production Manager
  • To be able to lift 20kg.

Warehouse Operatives KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Picking - Efficiently assemble loads without error using the pick lists/equipment provided.
  • Accept and achieve regularly revised and high pick rates.
  • Loading - Ensure that all loads agree with transport paperwork and are loaded to time, stacked in the correct sequence and are configured and restrained correctly.
  • Use of hand-held scanners
  • Stock control/ warehouse operative
  • Ensure that all site-specific rules and operating practice are adhered to at all times.
Warehouse Operatives GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Adhere to all aspects of the Company Health & Safety regulations currently in force.
  • Report anything which could be a hazard and report all accidents to your line manager.
PERSONAL CONDUCT:


  • Maintain good time keeping.
  • Maintain a good standard of housekeeping
  • Accept the occasional irregularity of hours to achieve completion of important tasks.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and co-operation in covering duties of a related nature not specifically referred to in the description that may enhance the service provided to the customer.
