Pay: £21k - £22k per annum
Hours:  Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 16.15pm, Friday 7.30 to 12.30pm,
             Total 38 hours per week

An established family-owned engineering business in the heart of Birmingham is recruiting for a Quality Auditor on a permanent contract. The role is working a day shift.
 
The Role:
For the role as a Quality Auditor your tasks will be to:

• Adhere to inspection documentation to ensure a standardised approach to inspection routines.
• Complete all associated documentation to provide feedback and traceability information (PCR's - PQR's -RFTT -SPCC).
• Ensure non-conforming product is contained, accurately recorded and reported at the earliest opportunity.
• Ensure that all equipment in use is within calibration.
• Inspect and book in Raw Materials.
• Inspect subcontract products.
• Ensure a prompt and efficient measuring service is provided to internal customers.
• Inspect samples taken from production at first off, last off and defined intervals, verify conformance to specifications.
• Record results of inspections correctly and maintain traceability.
• Inform Quality Manager, production staff and engineering staff of non-conforming product and supply relevant data.
• Assist with 8D investigations and calibration of equipment.
• Retain a safe working environment by adhering to the company Health and Safety policy.

• Excellent numerical skills as well as being a computer literate,
• Ability to read engineering drawings has an understanding of tolerances
• Ability to use quality measurement tools such as: Verniers, Caliper's & Micrometres.
• Able to work under your own initiative has good communication skills.
