Job Title: Technical Sales Estimator

Location: Derby

Salary: £27k (negotiable, depending on experience)

Permanent Position 42.5 hours per week, 31 days annual leave (inc bank holidays) Employer contributed pension and health care scheme

This design company provides some of the best known manufacturers with the ability to improve efficiency, safety and reduce their design costs They have recently invested in state of the art new machinery and have demonstrated exceptional growth throughout lockdowns

They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Estimator to win orders for bespoke designs and improve their excellent reputation for product quality and a customer service

• As Technical Sales Estimator your main objective will be to maximise growth with both existing customers and identify and generate new business from leading manufacturers
• You will be providing them with cost effective, bespoke design solutions, utilising a consultative, exploratory, problem solving approach.
• This is a hybrid role and will involve working both from the office and externally at customers sites. (you will have access to a company vehicle for this or alternatively can be paid mileage for using your own car)
• The role will involve estimating, providing quotations in a timely manner and presenting these to customers

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

• Experience of working within an engineering, technical or manufacturing environment and have some knowledge of the design process
• You will need to be an inquisitive problem solver who is very consultative in their approach with customers and strives to build and facilitate robust relationships
• Experience of estimating/measuring/fabrication would be ideal
• You will need to be a proactive, self starter with a strong commercially driven mind-set
