Warehouse Stock Control Supervisor – Derby – Circa £23k – 25k

Monday to Friday – Days – Permanent

Our prestigious client based in Derby is looking for an experienced Warehouse Stock control supervisor.

This is the ideal job for a person who is looking for a challenge and wants to grow with a company that is introducing a new position within the company in the warehouse division.

You will be responsible for the general management of the stock, being visibly present on the warehouse floor and monitoring all work to ensure all deadlines are met.

You will be overseeing the training of staff (4 – 8), the implementation of procedures and SOP’s and to monitor all training and performance of your team, resolve any problems regarding stock, and manage and take responsibility for stock

You will work with the management team to ensure all stock movement-related processes are effectively managed to support the current and future needs of the business. You will support and implement improvements to the warehouse through change management including development of a robust stock control measures. You will be required to work with management on stock and space planning and scheduling stock movements is a busy and expanding warehouse.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Checking in deliveries and ensuring located in correct pick faces
  • Supervision of container unloading team
  • Updating & maintaining stock on our system
  • Verification of GRN’s and PO’s
  • Responsible for Returns and Stock Issues
  • Manage all aspects of stock control including perpetual stock checks and control measures – investigation through to resolution
  • General Housekeeping of the warehouse.
  • Goods Inwards / Outwards.
  • Other incidental duties as required


  • 3- 5 years’ experience at Warehouse Supervisor level with experience in change management.
  • Computer literacy and experience of warehouse stock control systems.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Good delegation skills.
  • Driven to motivate and lead the team to be the best and strive for results.
  • Self-Starter and works on own initiative and as part of a management team.
  • Ability to drive change through teamwork and interact effectively with others, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with a positive attitude and disposition.
  • Numerically competence is a must


  • Counter Balance/Combilift Fork Lift Truck
