Up to £60K DOE

I’m looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join a market leading manufacturer of precision components supplying into the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence, with an enviable customer base that includes Airbus, Boeing and Rolls Royce. They have a full order book that sees them through to 2027.

As part of their long-term commitment to quality and continued growth, they are looking to recruit a proactive Quality Manager. Duties will include maintaining the business systems, dealing with customer concerns, supplier issues and plant quality.

As a Quality Manager you will be required to:

– Head up the quality team
– Create a right first time culture
– Work to AS9100, JAR 21, ISO 9001 and customer specific standards
– Maintain and update systems
– Create Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
– Utilise core quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, control plans, FAIRs, process flows and PFMEA
– Dealing with customer concerns
– Deploy 8D and 5Why to identify the root cause of errors and close out NCR’s
– Ensure supplier quality is up to required standards
– Heavily involved in Continuous Improvement activities to reduce waste, enhance workflow and improve the cost of quality
– Conduct internal and external audits

The ideal Quality Manager will have/be:

– Worked in a similar role ensuring products are manufactured at the right cost and level of quality
– Strong problem-solving skills
– Previous experience working in the aerospace industry
– Well versed with AS9100 or IATF 16949

– Leader not a Manager
– A dynamic personality with the attitude to always do better

– Commercially astute with the ability to think strategically
– Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels

– Up to £60k (depending on experience)
