We are looking for motivated people to join our team as a Food Production Operative. Recruiting for one of the UK's largest food businesses, you will be playing a critical role in keeping the nation fed.

22:00 - 07:00

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Produce/ process raw meat to the client specifications/ expectations
• Be able to differentiate between what is acceptable and what is unacceptable in terms of quality, cutting standards, work rate as detailed on the job specification or from verbal instruction from the production Manager
• Ensure that the product is free from bruising and blood spots
• Service a production line with product in accordance with the line running speed meeting the agreed production targets
• Operate scales and other machinery as required and in accordance with Safe Operating Procedures and training
• Adhere to allergen controls
• Wear correct PPE for the area you are working in
• Aware of, understand and adhere to food hygiene and health and safety procedures
• Be able to lift 20kg.

- Working with a variety of raw meats
- Making sausages, sausage rolls and pies
- Packing and preparing baked products
- Working with variety of baked products
- Physical work as it involves lifting packed boxes and oven trays

MAIN JOB DUTIES:

•  Working on end of the line, taking finished plastic products of the extrudor
• Production operative duties involving various manual handling tasks
• Stacking and packing products
• Getting products ready for the despatch
• Visual quality checking
• Keeping the production area clean and tidy
• Helping if and when required
