Giving Back To Charity

Supporting charities is what we do

Each year we like to undertake numerous fundraising activities to raise money for nominated charities. We also encourage staff to “give a day of your time” by giving them the opportunity to spend a day supporting a charity event.

2018 - £18,273 Clic Sargent, Cardiac Risk In The Young & The Sick Children's Trust

In 2018, Encore staff took part in various events to raise money for our 3 charities. This was the first time 3 charities had been chosen.
We took on the massive task of climbing Ben Nevis for our main charity event. With Ben Nevis being the tallest mountain in the UK, this was no easy feat.
Other events included a bike ride from Leicester to Skegness, fancy dress and bake sales. We had a lot of fun raising money for these 3 amazing charities!

2017 - £14,712.85 Help For Heroes

Help for Heroes supports those with injuries and illnesses attributable to their service in the British Armed Forces. No matter when someone served, we believe that those prepared to put their lives second, deserve a second chance at life.
In 2017 we ran, we cycled from Leicester to Skegness, we dressed up, did the Spartan run, held car boot sales, made cakes, held a Mario Kart tournament plus much much more. We had a fantastic amount of fun raising money for Help for Heroes in 2017 for such a brilliant cause.

2016 - £16,814.90 Multiple Sclerosis Society

The MS Society was nominated as our chosen Charity partner for 2016 by one of the Directors whose sister was diagnosed with MS in 2013. All 10 of our offices and support staff showed fantastic commitment to the fundraising efforts.  We organised our own Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge, a Golf day and staff also took part in a Wolf Run, Iron Man, a skydive, cake bakes, car boots, dress down days and even guessed the weight of a baby!  We were proud to have supported such an amazing cause.

2015 - £22,000 Cruse & the British Heart Foundation

In 2015 we raised a total of £22,000 for two chosen charities. We took on a mammoth test in completing the 24 peaks challenge and also hosted a large charity golf day in partnership with our many clients. This was our highest total to date so we are extremely proud of the support we received.

2014 - £16,000 Crohn’s & Colitis UK

In 2014 we took part in a wide range of fundraising events, including the Coast to Coast cycle challenge, from Whitehaven on the west coast to Tynemouth on the east coast.

2013 - £11,000 Cancer Research UK & Great Ormond Street Hospital

Cancer Research UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital were our nominated charities in 2013 and a team from the office undertook the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Snowdon, Scarfell Pike and Ben Nevis in under 24 hours.
