The Company
An industry leader within the food and beverage sector, owned by a leading international corporation. This division of the business produces staple foods, employ over 5000 people and has numerous manufacturing facilities across the UK.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be managing a team of 15-20 engineers and contractors. Your primary objectives are as follows:
*Full accountability for the planned maintenance system
*Day to day management of the maintenance department
*Develop your team through a structured training programme
*Minimise downtime with a 5% decrease targeted by 2011

The Candidate
Candidates for this position must be driven individuals with a proven track record in engineering/maintenance management within food, fmcg or pharmaceutical manufacturing. We are looking for candidates who adopt an analytical and systematic approach. You must be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills, supported by expertise in implementing strategy and tactics to drive the department forward.
The salary for this role is negotiable depending on relevant experience and the value you can add. Excellent career prospects within the group are available within the business, with an Engineering Manager position the natural progression.
