The Company
A leading FMCG organisation that generate a turnover in excess of £100m. To insure they remain as leaders in their field they are continually investing in their manufacturing capability. To support this they have 2 openings for engineers at their new and state of the art production facility. This site is based in the heart of the Midlands.
The Role
* Working a continental shift pattern you will operate within a small team across a fully automated production process.
* This will involve regular PPM’s and electro-mechanical fault finding.
* Detailed interrogation of Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLC’s to diagnose faults and modifying the programmes when required.
* You will be part of a project team modifying production lines, to support the introduction of new product ranges.
* Regular input to the continuous improvement programme.
* This role will involve working in a pressurised environment and applying your expertise to the betterment of the business.
The Candidate
Candidates for this position must have an exceptional technical background. Excellent electro-mechanical fault finding skills as well as the ability to modify and interrogate PLC’s are essential requirements. The ability to thrive under pressure, identify long term solutions/improvements as well as appreciating the demands of meeting production figures are the key personal characteristics required. Automation skills take preference over experience in the food/fmcg sector. Your expertise will ideally be supported with strong qualifications. This role offers a salary of £35k, stakeholder pension and generous holiday entitlement.
