Maintenance Engineer (Food)
£30k + overtime + benefits

The Company
Since their inception in the early 1980’s this FMCG organisation has prided itself
of providing innovative and cost effective products for a host of the UK’s
leading retailers. Supported by continual investment they have become of the
leaders in their field. They are looking to add to their workforce of close to 300
to support a period of growth. As a result a number of opportunities are
available for electrically biased maintenance engineers, at their modern and
fully automated food production facility.
The Role
In your capacity as a Maintenance Engineer you will work as part of a small
team on your shift. The emphasis is on supporting production by attending
breakdowns and providing technical support. You will also manage small
engineering projects and contribute to continuous improvement work. This will
involve repair and maintenance of 415v electro-mechanical systems,
pneumatics and hydraulics across a variety of PLC controlled process and
packaging plant. The shift is 6am-6pm from Sunday to Wednesday or
Wednesday to Saturday.
The Candidate
Candidates for this position must be electrically biased maintenance engineers
with PLC fault finding and laptop diagnostic skills. The ability to perform to high
standards within pressurised situations, work independently and communicate
effectively with your department and production is essential. You will ideally be
qualified to HNC level or above and have experience within the food or FMCG
sector.
