The Company
One of the UK’s leading food producers that produce some of the best known
household names. Generating a turnover in excess of £100m they have been
enjoying a period of sustained growth, thanks to strong domestic and
international sales. To support the ongoing development of this site, while
striving to achieve world class manufacturing performance, an opportunity has
arisen for an Engineering Manager.

The Role
As Engineering Manager you will play a pivotal role in the operation of this
iconic business. Leading a team of up to 20 engineers your key objectives will
be:
* Optimisation of the planned maintenance system with the use of
CMMS.
* Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
* Identifying training needs and implementing the appropriate training
strategy, to maximise the capabilities and competencies of your team.
* Accident investigations, risk assessments, HACCP conformance and
enforcing HSE standards.
* Identifying the root cause of problems and implementing corrective
action plans.
* Strong management and leadership skills that result in a strong team
dynamic.
* Ensure accurate performance data is available for management
meetings, in which you will be required to advise and influence.
* Budget control.

The Candidate
* Minimum of a HNC qualification in an engineering discipline.
* Previous experience as a leader and influencer within an FMCG
business.
* Be able to demonstrate success through others.
* Be able to demonstrate operational improvements in your previous
departments
* Strong managerial and leadership skills.
* A willingness to undertake additional qualifications desired by your
employer.
* The desire and ability to take your career to the next level.

The Benefits
This position offers a salary of £45-50k, generous contributory pension scheme,
25 days holiday, annual bonus and private healthcare.
