Engine Technician/Service Engineer - Leeds
£26-28k (OTE £31k+) + Benefits

The Role

Working at sites throughout West Yorkshire that convert landfill gas (methane) in to electricity you will be required to maintain and repair a broad range of large gas engines, as well as the associated gas plant. This is a regional based position and you will be part of a team of Technicians. Your daily duties will include complex fault finding, corrective maintenance and planned maintenance. This is a mechanically biased role that requires a basic appreciation of electrical principles.

The Candidate

Candidates for this position must have an excellent mechanical skill set and expertise in the repair of large engines. You must have worked on V6 engines or larger. Historically candidates have come from the armed forces, HGV, generator, energy or marine sectors. The ability to work unsupervised, in a pressurised environment and in a mobile nature is essential. A comprehensive 3 month training induction is provided to familiarise yourself with the specifics of the plant. Previous experience on gas engines is not required. A willingness to learn and develop yourself is essential.

A busy engineering company based in West Midlands have a permanent position available for an experienced CNC Machining Setter/Lead Hand in their high volume machining department.
Core hours of work: Mon - Fri 06.00am- 14.05pm. (Hours will be fully explained at interview)

The ideal candidtate will be able to set a variety of manual and CNC machines, predominately vertical machining centres using Fanuc control. Must also be able to alter programs and interperate technical drawings.

Charge Hand skills an advantage but training will be provided.

My client is a leading material handling and automotive machinery manufacturer.

Seeking an experienced Inventory Planning Manager.

Accountabilities

Define and deliver local stocking policy based on:
Central Stocking Policy.
Market Demand.
Warehouse Space.
Inputs from Sales and Dealers.

In addition:
Coordination of Inventory Management activities with local Distribution team.
Support recommended stocking list maintenance.
Determine scrapping priorities on the potentials communicated by the central Inventory
Management, according to Warehouse capacity and European Inventory budget;
Optimise warehouse space utilisation in coordination with Warehouse management
Coordinate World Class Logistics\' \"Inventory Management Pillar\" definition and implementation in the depot.

Activities

Definition and Maintenance of management and operational reporting#using Data Warehouse tools, Excel, Access#.

Set-up and execution of KPI analysis; deployment of corrective/improvement actions#system parameter changes, process re engineering, manual actions#, follow-up;

Coordination and Delivery of Business analysis.

Implementation of Inventory actions#parts availability
increase, stock transfers, space availability projects# in coordination with other functions.

Requirements:

Masters/ Degree qualification in Science, Statistics or Engineering # or equivalent#.

Previous Management Experiences#team leading#and an ability to work within a team.

Knowledge of programming and database languages and proficiency in PC, Databases, Spreadsheets.

Knowledge of Data Warehousing tools; Cognos, Business Objects, SAP-BW.

Expert in Inventory Management.

Experience in KPIs measurement, data analysis;

Knowledge of Supply Chain processes and principles.
Fluency in English and another main European language#French, Italian or Spanish#.

Ability to commute mostly across Western Europe for at least 10 % of the working year.

Good Communication skills and an ability to work under pressure in a rigorous and autonomous way in order to manage tight deadlines.
