Reduce the risk of employment tribunal claims
Introduction
If a worker or employee believes they have been treated unfairly by their employer they can make a claim to an employment tribunal - a judicial body established to resolve disputes between employers and employees over employment rights.
Employment tribunals hear applications - sometimes called claims - about employment matters that can't be resolved at work. These disputes may concern issues such as pay - including holiday or notice pay, dismissal, redundancy payments or discrimination.
This guide will cover the types of problem that can lead to a tribunal claim and look at ways of avoiding them. It also gives sources of help and advice.
