CPC training
The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is the qualification for lorry, bus and coach drivers who drive professionally throughout the UK. It has been designed to improve road safety and to have better qualified drivers to help reduce road casualties.
Any drivers passing either their LGV or PCV licence after the 10th of September 2010 will be required to pass their CPC qualification before they are legal to drive on the road, thereafter drivers are required to complete 35 hours of training every 5 years.
The introduction of the CPC has left many haulage firms with an additional cost to find in an industry already pressurised by fuel taxation rises, legislation changes and increasing operational costs.
Encore Driving have joined forces with an award winning logistics training academy to offer our clients and drivers free CPC training, after a qualifying period.
Courses including Driving Hours & Liabilities, Customers Service in a Driving Role and Fuel Efficient Driving are just some of the modules Encore are offering which add value & credibility to a driving workforce.
In addition to this Encore also offers our clients award winning training at a reduced rate for their own drivers.
Hours Monitoring
Ensuring compliance in a highly legislated industry is paramount with all logistics businesses. In support of this Encore driving can offer regular clients remote access to a driving hours report via our online web portal.
The system calculates the driver's 17 week working time and uses a traffic light system to clearly outline whether a driver is about to exceed or has exceeded any working averages.
Driver Negligence
Encore's systems and processes ensure we have the highest calibre of experienced drivers. However, as any transport professional will know from time-to-time accidents can happen.
With this in mind Encore offer our clients up to £10,000 of cover for any damages to LGV C1, LGV C or LGV C+E. This insurance gives our clients peace of mind that their insurance premiums will be protected should any unfortunate circumstances arise.
Partnership Charter
Working within logistics is not just as simple as just recruiting and assigning drivers.
We know that they need to have a full understanding of transport regulations and licence endorsements, through to the working time directive and load restrictions.
Encore's Driver Charter ensures our drivers are committed to delivering the best possible service. Drivers sign acceptance of our service levels. This provides our clients with peace of mind that our drivers will be representing not only Encore but also their own operation to the highest level.
